The Imperial is one of several Deluxe Five-star ships in the Travcotels fleet but is the only vessel to feature Suite accommodation measuring a very generous 41 m² and spacious cabins of 20.5 m² . The Imperial affords space and comfort that makes the experience afloat on the Nile even more enjoyable. Accommodation is on full-board basis with a daily tea time service that includes snacks and cakes. The Imperial spoils you for space and breathing room with 50 generously proportioned and well appointed cabins.

The upper deck features 15 double cabins and 17 double cabins are located on the lower Nile deck.  The 4 luxury suites are located on the main deck alongside 12 double and 2 single cabins.  All cabins have large panoramic windows overlooking the Nile.  Every cabin and suite is fully air conditioned (individually controlled) and all are equipped with:

  • Private  bathroom with W/C, shower, bidet and hairdryer
  • Marine Satellite TV (while docked) and music system.
  • Safe for storing valuables
  • Mini bar/fridge
  • Laundry service (available on request)
  • Suites have extra living/seating space separated from the bedroom. Special upgraded amenities are also available:

Dining & Leisure Facilities
The Imperial offers a tempting selection of tasty buffet style dishes featuring a broad range of colourful tastes and flavours for breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner based on local and international cuisines.  The elegantly appointed main restaurant can accommodate all guests in one sitting and the spacious lounge features comfortable seating and a bar serving beers, fine wines, cocktails, and soft drinks.  You could also try out the pool bar, sipping refreshing drinks while admiring the view or working out with the fitness equipment.

The swimming pool and pool bar are located on the large split-level Sun deck where you can sink into a sun lounger and soak up those rays or wander for the length of the ship admiring the scenery.  A gift shop on board will supply souvenirs or you can indulge yourself in the beauty salon which is open twice weekly in Luxor and Aswan.  Keep in touch with home through chargeable Internet, international telephone and fax services or dance the night away and enjoy regular music and folkloric performances held in the lounge.

The 7 night/8 day cruise programme consists of:
Day 1.  Check in and overnight on board the Imperial.
Day 2.  Visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor.  Sail on to Edfu via Esna and overnight on board.
Day 3.  Sail to Edfu and visit the Temple of Horus Temple.  Sail on to Kom Ombo and overnight on board.
Day 4. Sail to Aswan.  Visit the High Dam, unfinished Obelisque and Philae Temple.  Overnight on board in Aswan.
Day 5.  Optional visit to the Temples of Abu Simbel (charged extra) in the morning.  Afternoon trip to the Botanical Gardens in Felucca.  Overnight on board in Aswan.
Day 6.  Early departure, sailing to Kom Ombo.  Visit the Sobek Temple then sail on to Edfu before steaming on to Luxor via Esna.
Day 7. Visit the West Bank of Luxor and the ancient monuments of Thebes.  In the afternoon, your time is yours to spend at leisure before overnighting on board at Luxor.
Day 8.  Check out.
The 4 night/5 day cruise Aswan to Luxor
Day 1.  Check in and have lunch on board.  Visit the Philae temple and the High Dam.  Dinner on board and overnight in Aswan.
Day 2.  Optional excursion to visit the twin temples at Abu Simbel (at extra charge).  Lunch on board while sailing to Kom Ombo.  There, we will visit the temple of Sobek and overnight on board at Kom Ombo.
Day 3.  Early sail to Edfu to visit the temple of Horus.  Lunch on board while sailing to Luxor via Esna.  Dinner and overnight in Luxor.
Day 4. Sail to Dendarah to visit the Dendarah temples then sail back to Luxor. Dinner and overnight again in Luxor.
Day 5.  Check out after breakfast.
The 3 night/4 day cruise Luxor to Aswan
Day 1.  Check in and embark having lunch on board while sailing to Esna.  Take dinner and overnight on board at Esna.
Day 2.  Early departure to Edfu to visit the temple of Horus.  Take lunch on board while sailing to Kom Ombo where we visit the temple of Sobek.  Overnight on board in Kom Ombo.
Day 3.  Early sail to Aswan to visit the Philae temple and the High Dam.    Take dinner on board and overnight in Aswan.
Day 4. Check out after breakfast
