The Iberotel Crown Empress is the largest vessel in Travcotel’s fleet. It measures approximately 110 meters in length and is designed to give all guests a real taste of sailing aboard a premium Nile cruise liner. The Crown Empress has the space to give you the ultimate in Nile cruising holidays in complete freedom and comfort.

With 128 cabins onboard, the Iberotel Crown Empress provides a wide choice of accommodation:

  • 117 Double cabins
  • 3 Single cabins
  • 8 Suites with balcony

The upper deck (2) has 35 double cabins while the upper deck (1) features 40 double cabins and 8 suites.  The main deck houses 34 double and 2 single cabins and the lower deck is home to the remaining 8 double cabins and 1 single cabin.  Cabins are 19 m² and Suites are a generously proportioned 38 m².  Main and upper deck cabins have large panoramic sliding windows and suites have balconies with a wonderful view of the river Nile.

Every cabin or Suite is fully air conditioned (individually controlled) and all cabins feature:

Expansive enough to accommodate all passengers in one sitting, this deluxe cruise ship’s main restaurant prepares international style cuisine and serves up the opportunity to taste local dishes and flavours. The Iberotel Crown Empress gives you fine gourmet dining and extraordinary cuisine with various menus crafted with great care by the team of talented chefs to satisfy all tastes.  Bookings are made on a full-board basis with daily rich tea time service.

The Iberotel Crown Empress typically cruises between Luxor and Aswan.
The 7 night/8 day cruise programme sailing from Luxor and returning to Luxor would usually consist of:
Day 1.  Check in and overnight on board the Iberotel Crown Emperor.
Day 2.  Visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor.   Sail on to Edfu via Esna and overnight on board.
Day 3.  Sail to Edfu and visit the Temple of Horus Temple.  Sail on to Kom Ombo and overnight on board.
Day  4.  Sail to Aswan.  Visit the High Dam, unfinished Obelisque and Philae Temple.  Overnight on board in Aswan.  (The shorter 4 night/ 5 day cruise programme would include a visit to the Botanical Gardens by Felucca before an overnight in Aswan and check out on Day 5).
Day 5.  Optional visit to the Temples of Abu Simbel  (extra charge applies) in the morning.  Afternoon trip to the Botanical Gardens in Felucca.  Overnight on board in Aswan.
Day 6.  Early departure, sailing to Kom Ombo.  Visit the Sobek Temple then sail on to Edfu before steaming on to Luxor via Esna.
Day 7. Visit the West Bank of Luxor and the ancient monuments of Thebes.  In the afternoon, your time is yours to spend at leisure before overnighting on board at Luxor.
Day 8.  Check out
The 3 night/4 day cruise programme sailing from Aswan to Luxor would normally consist of:
Day 1.  Check in before lunch.  Visit the High Dam, unfinished Obelisque and Philae Temple.  Overnight on board in Aswan.
Day 2.  Early departure for Kom Ombo.  Visit the Sobek Temple, then sail on to Edfu and visit the Temple of Horus.  Sail on to Luxor and overnight on board.
Day 3.  Visit the West Bank of Luxor and the ancient monuments of Thebes in the morning.  In the afternoon, tour the Temples of Karnak and Luxor.  Overnight on board.
Day 4.  Check out.
